Psalms like this one...
sure make me thankful
that nature doesn't sit about
making up laws to discount the Lord...
dismissing Him from our senses.
Because here we see
the heavens GLAD,
the earth REJOICE,
the sea ROAR
the crops BURST with JOY
the trees and forest SING.
But our kids can't even
say the Pledge of Allegiance
or pray in school.
Yet I love how the psalmist
expressed the faithfulness of God
as His creations worshiped Him.
Not just people, but all of nature,
and took on action we understand...
Let the heavens be glad,
and the earth rejoice!
Let the sea roar and all that fills it;
Let the fields and
their crops burst out with joy!
Let the trees of the forest sing for joy
How grateful I am
that our Lord kept all authority
over His nature,
allowing full freedom of expression
through their beauty!
Word of God
train me, today...
to enjoy nature today.
to be as open
in my expression of faith in God
as the nature around me!
from my heart...
I write as an overflow... an expression of my true love for God and with a deep desire to encourage others in their day to day lives. For we can only find peace, joy, and satisfaction when we yield to the One who yielded His life for us.
