Leaving the Christmas week and entering into our old routine can sometimes be hard on the heart. Maybe we had a wonderful time and now have to face the hum-drum. Or possibly an old family battle got stirred again, causing inner turmoil to lift the sediment long settled on our heart. Expectations met or unmet can clash with the reality of this Monday morning. Either way, we need not find ourselves frustrated. Rather we can choose to lift up our shield of faith, standing firm, leaning into God. Let us trust in His mercies, new each morning, Let us float upon His grace this new day rather than struggling against the rough waters as we transition from Christmas to committments. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 1:20-21 NKJV He is for us... let us trust in Him, always. Word of God train me today... To lean into You, knowing that You know my needs and my trials. To know that Your mercies are for me and I can begin again, fresh today.
