Enough foolish talk of men. It's time to be quiet and listen.
God now speaks to Job; challenging him, humbling him, questioning him. Concepts of creation, nature, and systems of the universe all too grand for us to understand. Who are we to place limits on the creator God, confining His reasoning to the finite question of man... "Why?"
After all, He is the Sovereign, the Almighty, the Eternal.
He rules, He reigns, He decides, He answers to no one.
And fortunately, He graciously loves us abundantly so that we can remain in His presence... forgiven, understood and redeemed.
It's ok actually, to ask the Why's. But realize that God adequately explaining to us His reasoning would be just as a parent explaining to a toddler why she can't touch the stove. The child just wouldn't comprehend it all.
Let us learn to trust our Eternal Architect as He builds into our lives stable footholds of faith. He has a plan, He has a purpose. There is a blueprint in His hands. But every time we stop to fuss and complain, to whimper and ask why, it just delays the next step in becoming more complete... more like Him.
