How grateful I am that we have a God who never leaves us!
The grace of the age in which we live allows His presence within us; His Holy Spirit to reside, to abide, to lead and to guide. But how amazing it would have been to see that pillar of cloud... to see that pillar of fire. Can you imagine? And I love the "so that's" in the Bible... God is such an amazing provider of the "so that." So that they could travel day or night. He thinks of everything. He plans for all events. He knows what is to come and is ever-ready, prepared, knowing the way. He's a better camping guide than Bear Grylls! (And I love me some Bear!) Look how God had the Israelites leaving the land of Egypt in battle formation (Exodus 13:18), Look how He calls them, soldiers on foot, all 600,000 of them, besides their families (Exodus 12:37). Why? So that they might start thinking like the people He purposed them to be. He knew what laid ahead and as their Guide, He desired to start changing their mindset early... from slaves to soldiers; from worn out victims to warriors of victory. We too have a Constant Guide who longs to prepare us so that we can fulfill the purpose He planned for us, so that we may walk in it. We too can become warriors of victory if we will allow Him to change our mindset.

It's so comforting to know that He goes before us, He leads us, He knows what's in store for us because it's His plan and His will! Thank you for this reminder this morning!

So many verses come to my mind as well. Romans 8 is a huge chapter in the Bible that speaks volumes when I think of being made new in Christ.
