Reading through the books of 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles you'll often find that they repeat each other with some small variances. But how lovely that we see four references in the Old Testament about God's power revealed though David.
The LORD MADE David victorious wherever he went.
Wouldn't that be amazing? Winning every battle; conquering every war. So often, I'll admit the need for control. I get consumed with self-improvement, pursuing goals, achieving dreams. But it's when I read God's word and come across verses such as this which stop me dead in my tracks.
None of what I accomplish is mine alone.
No battle I feel victorious in, did I win by myself.
How valuable it is to readjust my focus and remember that all good things in me, and in my life, are from God. He gives opportunity. He grants skill and wisdom. He plants dreams and desires along with the drive to pursue them.
Let us begin this day proclaiming His greatness in our past.
The Lord made me victorious wherever I went.
Let us step out tomorrow giving God the glory for what He will do.
The Lord will make me victorious everywhere I go.
For He alone is Our Cause for Victory!
from my heart...
I write as an overflow... an expression of my true love for God and with a deep desire to encourage others in their day to day lives. For we can only find peace, joy, and satisfaction when we yield to the One who yielded His life for us.
