So the advice was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his servants.
And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”
Genesis 41:31 (NKJV)
Joseph is now 30 years old...
He was 17 when his brothers sold him into the hands of the Ishmaelites, and he has had many trials since that time. But what an admirable life he has lived by holding his tongue from complaint. Rather, he chooses to continue to give God glory for his gifts... and he has learned to keep his dreams to himself.
And now when an audience for the highest voice in the land is given, he speaks with wisdom and authority... and the Spirit of God is obvious, even to one who does not worship the same God. What a beautiful quality that I hope others will see in me.
Word of God... train me, today...
to be compassionate to others in need,
to be faithful to always give God glory for my gifts,
and to be patient during trials and hold my tongue from complaint.
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good.
At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity,
we should do good to everyone...
especially to those in the family of faith.
Galatians 6:8-10 (NLT)
from my heart...
I write as an overflow... an expression of my true love for God and with a deep desire to encourage others in their day to day lives. For we can only find peace, joy, and satisfaction when we yield to the One who yielded His life for us.
